Better Jobs Ontario
Better Jobs Ontario, formerly known as the Second Career program, offers unemployed individuals with skills training to help them find in-demand employment.

About the Program
Better Jobs Ontario is intended for individuals who do not have financial means to access skills training.
​
Financial assistance during the program may be provided to cover all of or a portion of the cost of tuition and other related expenses as a result of participating in the program.

Program Eligibility
Program participants must:
-
be a resident of Ontario, AND
-
be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident legally authorized to work in Canada or have a 900 SIN awaiting their permanent residency, AND
-
have been laid-off and have not been working or are working a temporary job just to cover costs, OR
-
have not been laid-off but have been unemployed for six months or longer and are part of a low-income household.
